Emily Torres-Sanchez is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with a decade of experience in the media and entertainment industry. Born in Miami, FL, and of Dominican descent, her upbringing fueled a deep interest in the intricacies that make up culture, particularly the duality of being Latino in the U.S. From understanding how culture influences behaviors to leveraging these insights to reach and better serve targeted audiences, this interest shaped her undergraduate studies and continues to drive her career today.
She is a proud graduate of the University of Florida (UF), where she earned a dual degree in Marketing and Telecommunication with a focus on Management. During her time at UF, she held various leadership roles with Gamma Eta Sorority Inc., Noticias WUFT, The Odyssey, and served as part of the inaugural class of the Florida Greek Ambassadors representing the Multicultural Greek Council.
After graduation, Emily began her career at NBCUniversal, where she held roles in Advertising, Consumer Marketing, and Omnichannel Marketing. Her expertise lies in strategic storytelling that meaningfully engages audiences as well as implementing plans that meet revenue goals and yield results. She has successfully translated her passion into award-winning campaigns across network (ex. Telemundo’s “El Señor de los Cielos”), cable (ex. Universo’s “Snapped, Crímenes de Pasión”), streaming (Peacock’s “Menendez + Menudo: Boys Betrayed), and digital platforms. With enthusiasm and eagerness to continue learning, she is excited to have a hand in creating the dynamic stories that shape our culture as consumption and the media landscape evolves.
Emily currently resides in Miami, FL, and is a lover of all things music, tv shows, and spending quality time with family.
