Katie Hernandez

Katie Hernandez was born and raised in Clermont, Florida to Cuban immigrants. She currently lives in Nothern Virginia and is serving as a Corporate Analyst at Targeted Victory in Arlington, Virginia. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2020 with a bachelor’s of science in Agricultural Education and Communications from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. 

During her time on campus she served as the President of Gators for Israel (GFI), Florida Blue Key Divisions Coordinator, Student Government Campaign Manager, Allocations Chairwoman for the Student Senate, and Hispanic Student Association (HSA) Office of Political Affairs Executive Director. Additionally, Katie co-founded the President of the Florida Latin Hispanic Student Union (FLHASU), a state organization that worked alongside the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to advocate on behalf of 123,000 Hispanic/Latin students in the state of Florida’s higher education system.  

After graduating from undergrad in 2020, she worked on Congresswoman Kat Cammack’s congressional race for FL-03. She then moved to Tel Aviv to complete her M.A. in Security and International Diplomacy from Tel Aviv University. 

On weekends Katie enjoys exploring the DMV and spending time with her boyfriend and dog, Bear.
